Sony’s super compact DSLR NEX cameras

Want a DSLR camera that will actually fit in your pocket? Well, Sony have something for you then, the Sony NEX3 and NEX5 “ultra compact” DSLR cameras (assuming your pocket also has space for the separate lens). They’re not unlike the recent Micro Four Thirds cameras, in that they’re tiny little cameras with interchangeable lenses, that are supposed to be as capable as full-sized DSLR cameras.
The NEX3 and NEX5 cameras look lovely indeed. With a 14.2 megapixel sensor and HD video recording (720p for the NEX3, 1080i for the NEX5), the camera bodies sell for €250 and €350 ($320 to $450) for the NEX3 and NEX5 respectively, whilst lenses are a similar amount (at least). It looks like it might be a worthy competitor to Panasonic’s Lumix GF1.
